Born on December 31st, Ben was a New Year's Eve baby, born into a musical family.
Ben took up bass around 1992, and his first band was called Vena Cava, then he went on to join Wishlist who made it to the Loot Music Awards Final in '99, didn't win but nevermind! It was a great experience and another step on his musical journey
He met Bud and Pete in 2002 to form Blue Train (later the Renegades) and then toured with singer/songwriter Mark Joseph, including appearing on Mark's video for his "mod" hit 'Bringing Back Those Memories'. Toured with Ccean Colour Scene and supported The Who.
In addition to all this Ben found time to record his brother Jospeh Swidenbank's albums 'Roads' and 'Scattered' and appeared in the video for Joe's single "It's Different For Girls" (along with Bud and Pete who completed Joe's band).
Ben still occasionally plays with his father's Irish band Grafton Street and has done the odd solo gig, most notably at Bedford Esquires supporting the Inspiral Carpets' Tom Hingley.

Ben's solo song "Girl (Leave That Animal Tonight)" has received radio airplay, and has been especially popular on USA radio shows
He has also played the famous Bedford River Festival main stage twice (2010 and 2012) playing bass in Swidenbank - his brother Joe's band, along with Bud and Pete. In 2012 they also did a live interview and acoustic song with BBC 3 Counties Radio from the River Festival |

Now with Bud and the Bullet for a brand new chapter.
For the official video from the album, for "In Temptation" Ben chose his trusty black and white Fender Jazz Bass, with Fender Roundwound Strings and his Peavey amp
When he's not playing his bass, Ben likes running and being the proud papa of his gorgeous baby boy
